Expense concern: Older adults seek less emergency care due to potential costs, says research

The study, based on a survey conducted in June 2020, asked older adults to think back on the previous two years, including the first months of the Covid-19 pandemic. Even among those who hadn't had a medical emergency in this time, worries about what an emergency visit might cost them were high.
